"St Knut" är Davids lek med både plats och ord.

Inspirerad av St Knuts torg i Malmö låter han staden bokstavligen knytas samman. Byggnader, gator och minnen vrider sig in i varandra tills allt blir en enda sammanhållen form.

Det är humor – men också något mer. En stad som hålls ihop, trots tryck och rörelse. En påminnelse om hur platser kan forma oss, och hur vi i sin tur formar dem.

Som ofta i Davids verk växer strukturen fram ur repetition. Det som först ser kaotiskt ut visar sig vara noggrant sammanflätat.
