"St Knut" is David's play with both place and words.
Inspired by St Knut's square in Malmö, he lets the city literally tie itself together. Buildings, streets and memories intertwine until everything becomes a single cohesive form.
It's humorous – but also something more. A city that holds together, despite pressure and movement. A reminder of how places can shape us, and how we in turn shape them.
As often in David's work, the structure emerges from repetition. What first looks chaotic turns out to be meticulously intertwined.
The mockup shows 70x100 cm.

I have an autistic son who was born the year this art was created. It's a daily reminder of how beautiful his brain is and symbolizes the magic it's able to create. It's my favorite piece of artwork in my home.
