I have an autistic son who was born the year this art was created. It’s a daily reminder of how beautiful his brain is and symbolizes the magic it’s able to create. It’s my favorite piece of artwork in my home.

Get to Know David
David Cheung – a contemporary artist with a unique vision of the world.
After a late autism diagnosis and a period of burnout, he found his way back through lines – a way to create order within chaos.
His art thrives on contrasts: dark motifs such as reptiles, skulls and sunken ships – inspired by childhood anime and series – are captured and tamed within architectural patterns and structures. The bleak is given a frame, a form, a sense of control.
“In a world of constant stress, I want to offer a place to escape. My worlds are created for those who need them.”
